Locals and visitors alike braved the weather during Storm Amy to attend another fantastic Pant Autumn Bazaar held in the Memorial Hall.
In fact, as the doors were opened to welcome visitors to the event, the sun shone. Although it rained on and off during he afternoon, it didn’t put off a steady stream of visitors who came to support the hall and some 12 independent traders on stalls ranging from cakes and savouries to wooden items and children’s books.
Pant Autumn Bazaar has become a favourite item in the village’s calendar each year and is a major fundraising opportunity for the Memorial Hall.
This year, the hall made just over £500 by selling hot drinks and cake, secondhand books as well as running a very popular tombola. The funds will be used to help maintain and improve the hall as a community asset.
The newly refurbished disabled toilets had just been completed before the bazaar opened and now have a baby changing facility.
Organisers have thanked everyone who came out to support the event and to Morrisons Daily in Pant, the White Lion in Llynclys, Llanymynech Canal Wharf, Meraki Colour and The Works in Oswestry for their kind donations.
