All invited to Pant’s act of remembrance

Works to Pant Memorial Hall

Pant Memorial Hall was built after the First World War as a memorial to all those that had suffered in the ‘Great War’ and as such it is Pant’s War Memorial.

For a number of years, the committee of Pant Memorial Hall has held a remembrance service on or near the 11th November to honour all those who served in, or were effected by, war, whether from Pant or beyond.

This year’s service will be opened by Rev Kathy Trimby, rector of the Border Parish Churches and is open to all who would like to be part of this informal, though sincere, act of remembrance. It will include poetry readings, a short address, a poppy laying ceremony and the sounding of the Last Post.

The service will be held on Saturday, 11th November starting at 7.30pm and it will be followed by tea and coffee.

Everyone will be warmly welcomed.
