Pant Post Office – survey on proposed changes

The Post Office is proposing to make some changes to the service it offers in the McColl’s store in Pant and is seeking the views of customers before it finalises its plans.

In a letter available to customers in the Pant branch, the Post Office explains that it is undertaking an ‘exciting programme of investment and transformation’ across its network to make branches more modern and convenient both for customers and the operators that run them.

The Post Office is talking to McColl’s about changing Pant Post Office to one of their new-style local branches and if this goes ahead it would mean that:

• Post Office services would be offered from a low-screened, open plan style service post integrated into the retail counter
• The branch would be open for longer: Mon – Sun 06:00 – 23:00
• Customers will still be able to get most Post Office products and services, however for a small number of services customers may need to visit an alternative Post Office, go online or telephone the customer helpline
• To get the new branch ready, it may need to close for up to seven days during September / October 2017 for refurbishment.

The Post Office would like to know what is important to its customers and would like you to tell them what you think, particularly on the following areas:

• Why you use Pant Post Office and what you like about it
• What you think about the proposed new-look Post Office
• What you think about the changes to opening hours
• If you have any comments about the change to the range of Post Office products and services at the branch if the change goes ahead
• If you have any comments about the potential closure period during the refurbishment or access to other branches in the area.
