The General Election takes place on 7th May 2015 and the list of candidates seeking your vote is now finalised.
According to the polls, if you believe them, the outcome of the General Election is going to be interesting and the media coverage and speculation about coalitions and which party might, or might not, work with which other party makes entertaining viewing and reading. But, for the individual voter, the choice comes down to which candidate and/or party do you want to vote for locally.
For voters in Pant, which is in the Shropshire North Constituency, there are five candidates standing this time round.
As the closing date for nominations to stand for election has now passed, the final list of candidates for Shropshire North is:
• Andrea Christabel Allen (Ukip)
• Graeme Roger Currie (Labour)
• Duncan Kerr (Green Party)
• Owen William Paterson (Conservative)
• Tom Thornhill (Liberal Democrats)
Pant Memorial Hall will be a polling station in the 2015 General Election
Polling opens at 7am on Thursday 7th May 2015 in Pant Memorial Hall, unless you have a postal vote, which can be completed as soon as you receive it. Postal votes have to arrive in time to be counted, so if you’re too late to post your ballot paper back, you can hand it in to your local Electoral Registration Office or take it to the polling station by 10pm on polling day.
