July 2025 Parish Council Meeting

Everyone is welcome to attend the next Llanymynech & Pant Parish Council meeting. The meeting is being held at Llanymynech Village Hall at 7.15pm on Thursday, 24 July.

Items on the agenda include a discussion on improvemnets and refurbishment of the entrance to Llanymynech Heritage Area and Canal Wharf, the possible co-option of a new member to the Parish Council and several local planning issues.

Localism Act 2011 Members are personally responsible for deciding whether or not they should disclose an interest where a matter arises which directly relates to them. They should not participate in any discussion nor vote on the matter and must not remain in the room unless granted dispensation to do so.

7 COUNCIL VACANCY. To consider co-option to fill the current vacancy.

8 PLAY EQUIPMENT SURVEY REPORT.

9 FOOTBALL EVENT. Request from football team to hold fund raising event on the KG5 Field in conjunction with On The Border on 3rd to 5th April 2026.

10 EXTERNAL AUDIT. Report from Clerk.

11 SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL – Letter from Cllr Alex Wagner on new approach to
partnership working between Shropshire Council and Town & Parish Councils.

12 THE PARISH RECTORY. The property now empty for 4 years is cause of complaints.

13 CORRESPONDENCE. (1) Information on Interactive Flood Signage on A483 beyond
Llanymynech bridge in Powys. (2) Youth Offer & Community Profiling questionnaire.
(3) Confirmation of listing as Community Asset of the Cross Guns Inn.

14 FINANCIAL MATTERS. Accounts for payment totalling £3,002.68.
