Pant Memorial Hall is there for all

Communities such as Pant owe a lot to the voluntary effort of local people, whether that is in formal groups such as charities and clubs or in less formal arrangements such as neighbours helping one another.

One of the most obvious examples of community endeavour in Pant is the Memorial Hall. Renovated to celebrate the Millennium, the Hall is the venue for all sorts of activities such as parties and various classes and lessons.

Pant Memorial Hall – come along to the AGM

The annual general meeting (AGM) of the organisation that manages the Hall on behalf of the whole community is taking place on Thursday, 12 March 2015 and everyone in the village is welcome to attend and find out more about the activities that take place in the Hall. The meeting, which starts at 7.30 pm, is also a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t been inside the Hall to come along and see the facilities. Especially useful if you are thinking of holding an event in the Hall in the future.

As a voluntary organisation, Pant Memorial Hall Committee is also always on the look out for local people interested in playing a more active part in running and managing the Hall. A community asset like the Hall is dependent on the support of local people to keep it running, and the same goes for the other assets that the village has such as the pub and shop.

Being involved with the Committee is not an onerous task as it only meets three times a year and the Committee is always open to new ideas and comments from the village.

So, if you are interested in finding out more about how you can get involved with Pant Memorial Hall, please come along to the AGM on 12 March and have a chat!
