Following confirmation that Admiral Taverns has sold the White Lion in Llynclys, new owners have said that they are committed to reopening as soon as possible.

Steve Sant, the new owner, has set up a new Facebook page for the pub and has posted: “Hello everyone, we’re the new owners of the Lion. We’d like to quickly address the rumours about our recent purchase of the pub. Please be assured we have absolutely no intention on knocking it down or developing housing. In fact as you’ll see, we’ll soon be starting a major investment in the pub to bring it back to life as soon as possible.”

Cross Gun Inn reopens

Cross Guns Inn, Pant, Shropshire

The Cross Guns Inn has today (Monday 26 October 2020) reopened following its recent closure due to a staff member testing positive for the virus that causes COVID-19.

According to Maureen at the pub, although the pub is open, the kitchen will not reopen until next week while the kitchen is restocked.

Cross Guns Inn closes due to COVID

Cross Guns Inn, Pant, Shropshire

The Cross Guns Inn has closed due to a staff member testing positive for the virus that causes COVID-19.

According to a post on the pub’s Facebook page, NHS test and trace has been contacted and has informed the pub that they will collect the ‘sign in book’ and contact people who have recently visited the pub.

The same post says that the pub is likely to be closed for the next 2 weeks.
