Llanymynech Wharf reopening

Llanymynech Wharf Visitor Centre is reopening on Easter Sunday in 2024.

The popular visitor centre on the banks of the Montgomery Canal in Llanymynech is open each Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday between Easter and September.

This year, their first day will be Sunday, 31 March, with visitors being able to see the exhibitions inside the visitor centre and enjoy lights snacks between 1.30 and 4.30 pm. The centre is also open on Easter Monday.

However, boat trips on the accessible boat George Watson Buck, will not be restarting until May as the boat is to be taken out of the water for maintenance.

Once trips restart, passengers will be able to enjoy a short trip on the Montgomery Canal, between England and Wales.
