Open studio for local artist

An artist in Pant is one of a number locally taking part in Open Studios 2019.

Gill Crozier from the village, is a member of Borderland Visual Arts (BVA), an artists’ network formed in 1998 which aims to connect and support artists living and working in the Oswestry area, as well as promoting contemporary art to the wider community.

Said Gill: “Every year BVA holds an Open Studios event where the public can meet artists in their studios and see where they create their work. This year, there are exhibitions at the Willow Gallery and in the library in Oswestry, and I will welcome people into my studio in Pant between 10am and 5pm.”

You can find out more about Open Studios 2019 by picking up a leaflet at various venues in Oswestry, including the Willow Gallery, the library and the Heritage Centre.

Studios this year are open on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June, as well as on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June. But most artists will be happy to welcome people at other times if contacted first. More details can be found in the Open Studios 2019 leaflet and on the website: http://www.borderlandvisualarts.com. Participating studios are recognised by banners and red balloons.

Added Gill: “My studio is very easy to find on the main road in Pant. I have limited parking but there is more in Station Road.”
