Date set for Pant Memorial Hall AGM.
The Annual General Meeting of Pant Memorial Hall takes place on Thursday 16th March 2017 at 7pm and is open to everyone in the village.
The AGM is a very important meeting for the hall as it reviews the financial status of Pant Memorial Institute, the organisation that runs the hall for the benefit of the local community.
The AGM also elects officers and a committee to oversee activities at the hall for the forthcoming year.
This year is particularly important as the committee has looked at the roles of each of the officers and is proposing amendments to the roles to make thing simpler and to encourage villagers to step up to the positions of secretary, treasurer and chair.
The AGM is open to all and is a very informal event. For those who haven’t been to a Pant Memorial Hall AGM before, the meeting is a great opportunity to have a look round this important community asset and well as getting involved in the community.
At the AGM you will be able to find out about future plans for the hall and, if you are interested, find out how you could get involved with the running of the hall. The Memorial Hall is managed by a voluntary committee which is always keen to encourage more villagers to both use the hall and to get involved in its running.
For the past two years, the committee has organised the Pant Autumn Bazaar, which has been very successful and raised important funds for the upkeep of the hall. One of the issues to be discussed at the committee meeting that will follow the AGM is whether to hold an Autumn Bazaar in 2017 and villagers’ thoughts on this will be much appreciated.
Tea and coffee will be available.
