Cross Guns Inn in Pant Shropshire

Spring parish walk

Local residents, family and friends are invited to an inaugural ‘Meet and Greet’ walk on Sunday 30th April as part of setting up a 3P (Parish Paths Partnership) walking group in Pant and Llanymynech.

Meeting at the Cross Guns in Pant at 10.30am and starting the walk around 11.00am ending around lunchtime back at the pub. The Walk is 2.3 miles / 3.72Km and should take around an hour to complete.

According to Alice Bond, who is the Llanymynech and Pant 3Ps Group coordinator, the group aims to work with Shropshire Council and local landowners to ensure that our parish byways are accessible and that stiles and fencing are kept in good repair.

The ‘Meet and Greet’ is open to everyone who is interested in taking part but Alice is also looking for volunteers who will help maintain the paths. Details about this, and the necessary paperwork, will be available on the day.

Said Alice: “We have such wonderful countryside locally and our 3P working parties will assess and fix the footpaths of the local parish of Llanymynech and Pant, where necessary.”

Anyone interested in finding out more is encouraged to meet up on the 30th at the Cross Guns.
