Essential drainage works have been announced by National Highways along the A483 in Pant.
In a message delivered to residents and businesses along the road, National Highways has said that following local survey work they will be carrying our maintenance on the drains between Mile End and Llanymynech in the New Year.
Work will include replacing the existing drainage covers and cleansing of the drains. Once complete, National Highways says that this should see a reduction in noise and will assist in improving the safety of the carriageway.
Work is due to start on 9 January 2023 with completion expected by 1 April. Work will be undertaken between 8pm and 6am Monday to Friday.
Many residents in Pant and the nearby area have seen localised flooding on the A483 with a number of reports to National Highways’ website. https://report.nationalhighways.co.uk/
